How to Program a LiftMaster Remote
Let’s start with programming your LifeMaster remote. After all, you don’t want to have to get in and out of your car every time you get home and need to open the garage. LiftMaster remotes are convenient and easy to operate, and don’t worry — programming them is too.
For newer models of LiftMaster garage door openers, you’ll be able to program your LiftMaster remote using the wall button control station. Using the arrow keys on the wall button control station, scroll down to the “program” option. Select that option. Then, a new menu of options will appear. On this menu, select the “remote” option. Then, press the button on your remote. You will hear a chime or a beep to confirm that the programming has been completed successfully.
Ta-da! You can now use your LiftMaster remote to open and close your garage door.
How to Program a LiftMaster Keyless Entry Pad
Now, let’s program your LiftMaster keyless entry pad. Same as with the remote, you’ll need to use the wall button control station to complete this programming. Using the arrow keys, scroll down and select “program” from the options menu. On the next menu, select “keypad” or “keyless entry.”
Then, go to your keyless entry pad and enter your chosen 4-digit code on the keypad. After punching the code, hit “enter.” You will then hear a chime and double click to signal that the keypad programming is complete.
Want to double-check your handiwork? Enter the same 4-digit code on the keypad followed by the “enter” key to confirm it works for opening and closing the garage door.
