Teacup Nordic Commercial Doors
The Teacup Nordic Project on Mt. Hood was an exciting garage door installation. The goal was to house a brand new PistenBully snow groomer, which maintains 15 miles of cross-country skiing terrain. Our client, I&E Construction, had a short window to get this two-door installation done before the arrival of the new equipment and the start of inclement weather.
A team of three installation technicians from Central Oregon Garage Door worked around the clock to install two 24-gauge metal CHI commercial doors in a single day.
Aside from a quick turnaround, the project’s main consideration was maximizing space for the PistonBully to enter and exit the garage without trouble. A two-inch clip into a wood track with a 15-inch radius resolved any overhead space considerations, ensuring that each door opens and closes without a hitch. This enables the PistonBully to get to work on slope management as quickly as possible.
The doors R-8 vinyl-backed insulation, PVC head and jamb weatherstripping seals ensure minimal heat loss in the extreme winter climate and secure storage for the snow groomer with a manual inside lock.
